Summer suit must-haves

It’s time to plan for end of summer parties, events and post-work celebrations.  You may be headed to outdoor barbecue parties or indoor coworking get togethers and we want to help you keep your style sharp and your wardrobe well prepared.

Between graduation and Labor Day, there are endless events that will call for a suit and even some of your date nights will require you to bring a suit jacket.  This week, we will help you style your suits and help set you apart from the crowd.

When it comes to summer suiting, the trick is selecting the right fabric to keep you cool on those warm summer nights.   A lightweight fabric will keep your style dry and allow you to layer with a colorful or patterned shirt. A soft polo or button-front shirt is the key article of clothing when wearing a suit.

If you’re more of a casual dressed gent, then a polo shirt will be your favorite way to style your suit.  JCPenney has a variety to choose from like our Argyleculture short-sleeve pattern Polo Shirt.  If you prefer to dress up your style, you can select from a variety of button-front shirts like the Argyleculture navy or navy plaid combo. Feel free to put a bit of fun in your attire for summertime occasions and wear an island print shirt like the Argyleculture white or navy print.  There’s always a plain option like the Argyleculture navy or pink short sleeve shirt if you’re not feeling daring with your style.

Either way, it’s important to select the right shirt to help switch up your suit style.  You are bound to be wearing suit options and a great way to keep cool is to carry your suit jacket over your shoulder and wear a short sleeved shirt option under nearth.  Always bring an extra shirt to the office so you can change and keep your style dry at all times.
